Our Story
Digital Colonies was founded because both sides of the aisle have failed us. There has been no true justice—just escalating tyranny as money changes hands between elected officials and corporations. One party rams through tyrannical laws—and in the next election cycle, the other wields it as a club. Innocents get crushed. It’s not right vs. left. It’s right vs. wrong.
How it Began
Our story starts in our family home in 2020… We used everyday social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. We synced photos of kids’ milestones, homeschool lessons, business docs to Google/Microsoft. All of this until the trap snapped. One of our family members contracted COVID – and the medical industry sent her home to die – they had written her off as a likely death and were not eager to help.
Frantically, we searched the web for information only to find one roadblock after another: Google blocking documents from alt media and censoring actual Medical professionals, YouTube nuking entire accounts. And finally, Facebook Messenger blocked private messages to friends – because the messages did not fit the narrative… in our most most desperate hour they would not allow us to communicate.
We were forced to venture onto alternative social platforms and the “Dark Web” – where we found what was needed – information, an underground market, and a community that could speak truth regardless of the powers in DC and Silicon Valley.
How it is Going
Fast forward to today: threats to block email because “cloud storage is full”. The choice they leave: delete your cherished memories and stop syncing photos OR pay us more and continue to allow a flood of useless spam email to dictate storage space. Why erase family history because algorithms prioritize junk?
Windows 10 is no longer supported, forcing surveillance upgrades. Disk encryption keys? Casually surrendered to the FBI.
We were tired of all of it. We realized that voting wasn’t helping, and that no one is coming to save us. So we decided to take things into our own hands. For well over a year our own product, developed in house (VaultNode) has been our cloud platform of choice.
