Community Public Health Advocate, Erin Brockovich, has launched a national initiative to expose the hidden impact of the rapidly expanding AI data center industry. With nearly 4,000 reports already submitted from across the United States, her campaign utilizes a crowdsourced map to track the operational, construction, and planning phases of these facilities.
The project addresses growing community concerns regarding the lack of transparency in site selection, environmental strain, water consumption, and utility infrastructure. Brockovich is demanding accountability from developers and local officials, preparing potential legal action to overturn nondisclosure agreements and compel full transparency regarding the ecological and community footprints of the artificial intelligence infrastructure race.
